Pintail Boats is a company based near Kirkby Lonsdale that specialises in the building and hiring out of luxury narrowboats and widebeams on the lock free Lancaster Canal. 

Based at Garstang Marina, you will find our luxury widebeam boat is in the ideal location to explore the Lancaster Canal.  With 42 miles of meandering, lock free waterway, you can sit back and relax as you cruise from village to village taking in their individual charm. Our friendly staff will make sure you have the necessary briefing and safety equipment before you depart. 

Our week long breaks starting on a Saturday gives you plenty of time to relax and unwind.

The Lancaster Canal runs from Tewitfield which is just south of the Lake District, through Lancashire and on to Preston, passing through stunning scenery, picturesque villages and historic towns an cities along the way. Meandering through the green fields, the lock free waterway is never too far from amenities, canal side pubs and restaurants and a variety of other attractions.
